Vintage original Jif Peanut Spread Jifaroo Periscope advertising premium from the late 1950s to early 1960s.
This colorful cardboard periscope was offered free with the purchase of a jar of Jif Peanut Spread during the early Procter & Gamble era of the brand. Jifaroo the Kangaroo was Jif’s original mascot when the brand launched nationally in 1958.
Measures approximately 20 inches long and features bright yellow cardboard with red and blue illustrated graphics showing different uses such as “Look over crowds,” “Look at the enemy,” “Look out windows,” “Look over fences,” “Look around trees,” and “Look around corners.”
Both original mirrors are present, making this example essentially complete. One mirror has come loose from its original mounting area. It will be lightly secured with removable painter’s tape for shipping only to prevent damage or loss. The mirror can be repositioned by the buyer as desired.
Vintage pre-owned condition with age-related wear including edge wear, creases, discoloration, surface marks, old adhesive residue, and general handling/storage wear. One mirror is detached as noted. Please review all photos carefully for exact condition.
