Vintage 1956 Richfield Ethyl Gasoline Canvas Sign Banner Full Power Thrust 12ft For Sale

Up for sale/sale is an incredibly well preserved, Rare, original 1956 Richfield Ethyl Gasoline promotional service station banner. This authentic piece of mid-century petroliana features the iconic bright yellow bold text and vibrant red borders over a deep dark blue background, measuring approximately 12ft x 1.5ft. Introduced in 1956, this banner was part of Richfield’s famous “Full Power Thrust” Aviation/themed marketing campaign designed to highlight the high performance qualities of their premium fuel during the peak of the jet age. Itslength is approximately 12 feet and its width is approximate 1.5 feet. Not sure of exactly the fabric it is made of but I do believe it is the heavy duty duck cloth (canvas oil cloth material). This was the material that was used before the vinyl banners of the late 1960s/ 1970s. Features original metal hanging grommets along the border. The banner is in excellent/great vintage shape, which is rare for a sign of this massive size that was meant to be used outdoors. The colors remain incredibly bold and bright with fantastic contrast. No major rips, dry rot, or tears that I could find. Minor vintage wear features only minimal faint tiny marks that are not too noticeable unless they’re inspected very closely.
