DESCRIPTION:
A 1952 Lederer Industries "Presidents of the U.S.A." rotating-wheel advertising premium, sponsored by Sears with the back-to-school tagline "First to Sears Then to School." Turning the wheel behind the die-cut window cycles through each U.S. President with birth/death years, order of succession, and years in office — one side also features the Presidential Seal and the Oath of Office. A fun piece of mid-century advertising ephemera and a nostalgic classroom learning aid.
CONDITION: Used, with age and child-handling wear — corner creasing and small chips, general soiling, and a small tear at one edge (see photos). A previous young owner left pencil notations (a name and a list of numbers, unrelated to the item's printed content) on the front panel; closeup photos of this writing are included. The rotating wheel mechanism still turns and functions, correctly cycling through multiple presidents as shown in photos. Please review all photos closely before purchasing.
