Tube & Cord: The magician ties 2 cords to a ribbon. A small aluminum tube is attached a ribbon; the cords are threaded entirely through the tube. The magician then asks a spectator to hold the ends of the cords securely. Despite the cords being locked inside and held tight, the magician removes the ribbon and tube, leaving the cords in the spectator\'s hands. Everything can then be handed out for full examination.

These were the survivors of a vintage 1950s magic kit (Aristocrat Magic Chest). The small booklet also has a few easy to learn tricks you can do with ordinary rope or string.
