Vintage 1950s Monopol Style Petrol Lighter Zweibrucken Germany Working For Sale

Post war mid century semi-automatic Monopol style petrol pocket lighter featuring coat of arms for city of Zweibrucken, Germany. Likely made in West Germany during the 1950s, has an overlapping \"OO\" hallmark stamped on the bottom plate as shown. I\'m not sure of the maker. These lighters were popular souvenirs for U.S. military personnel station at the nearby Zweibrucken Air Base. Squeeze mechanism spring opens sharply and forcefully on its own. Flint wheel grinds cleanly and produces a strong spark. Front features a gold-toned city shield showing a rampant lion under a mural crown. Chrome casing shows vintage character with wear commensurate with age and use. Please see pics for condition.
