Vintage matched pair of 1950s Japanese export ceramic angel figurines, approximately 4.25" tall. One angel reads from a book while the other plays a mandolin/lute. Both feature hand-painted faces, gold-tone halos, gilt accents and wing details.
Marked JAPAN on the underside with separate circled factory/production numbers, including 10 on the reader and a partially visible number beginning with 6 on the musician.
Nice mid-century Christmas/angel collectible pair. Shows age-related crazing, light surface discoloration and some wear/loss to the gold trim. No major chips or repairs noted in the photos. Please review all photos closely for condition.
