Adorable vintage ceramic skunk family figurine set, likely dating to the 1950s and made in Japan.

Classic mid-century kitsch styling with sweet painted faces, pink ears, yellow bellies, and a soft faux-fur tuft on Mama’s head.

• Set includes 1 Mama skunk and 4 baby skunks
• Ceramic construction
• Black, white, pink and yellow hand-painted details
• Mama has original-style soft faux fur accent on top of her head
• Mama measures approx. 3 1/2 inches tall
• Each baby measures approx. 1 3/4 inches tall
• Includes the original round mirrored display base
• Originally, a chain connected Mama to the babies; chain is missing
• The figures were also originally attached to the mirror base
• Currently only 2 of the 5 skunks remain attached

Good overall vintage condition with age-related wear. The mirror base shows significant spotting, discoloration and finish loss from age, along with a small crack near the top edge. The two figures that remain glued to the mirror sit over/near this area. Only two of the five skunks remain attached; the others have old glue residue on their bottoms. Connecting chain is missing. Mama remains in nice overall condition with her fur tuft intact. Please see photos for details.
