  NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION & HISTORY

This original 1950s giant novelty card was produced by Hall Brothers,Inc.(the historic precursor to Hallmark Cards) under production code 25A933-1.

What makes this piece extraordinary is its massive scale and interactive multi-panel design.Constructed as an 8-panel "map-fold," it unfolds panel-by-panel to tell a sequential story ("Glad I Metcha," "Glad You Kissed Me," "Glad I Dragged You...") illustrated in rich,storybook-style anthropomorphic bear characters dressed in 1950s attire.

When fully opened,it expands into a magnificent 18" x 21" anniversary poster ("To The Altar - Happy Anniversary") featuring the bear couple in full wedding attire.

Because of its massive unfolded size and detailed period graphics, this piece serves as a premier display item for mid-century illustration collectors, vintage Hallmark archivists, and paper ephemera framing projects.
