Charming 1950s aluminum serving tray featuring Dale Nichols’ “Company for Supper,” a nostalgic winter farm scene with a horse-drawn sleigh. Finished with scalloped edges and clear Lucite handles. Vintage surface scratches, scuffs and general wear are present. Measures 11”x7.5”. The color remains vivid-the barn is a deep red and the snow a twilight blue.

Dale William Nichols (1904–1995) was an American Regionalist painter, illustrator and printmaker, best known for idealized Midwestern farm scenes—especially snowy landscapes with red barns, windmills and sweeping fields. His childhood on a Nebraska farm strongly influenced his work.
