Vintage 1950's American Airlines Ticketing Services Folder For Sale

This is an American Airlines ticketing-services folder from the mid-1950s, roughly 1953–1958. It's in excellent condition.

What it is

It’s a tri-fold handout of the kind left on ticket counters and in travel agents’ offices. Its pitch is that “One Call Does All”: you phone American once and they handle schedules, reservations on connecting airlines, air taxis, car rentals, “package vacations” and getting the ticket to you. The inside lists the ways you could get a ticket before e-tickets existed:

• by mail, paid by check or on credit and invoiced
• held at the airport “Will Call” desk
• delivered by messenger
• paid by telegraphic money order
• through a travel agent
