HISTORICAL & CORNER CODE SIGNIFICANCE:
* The Corner Code Meaning (TS-32): The printed mark in the corner is an official Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) studio archival tracking code. "TS" stands directly for The Stratton Story, the historic 1949 biographical baseball film starring Jimmy Stewart. The "32" indicates this exact pose was layout number 32 chosen by the studio for the film's official promotional distribution, proving the photograph's direct heritage to the movie's original release.
* Premium Exemplar Signature: Signed beautifully across his tweed lapel using a sharp, fluid stroke. Unlike his heavily shaky, late-life signatures from the mid-to-late 1990s, this exemplar features the smooth, classic cursive style from a prime signing era when his handwriting was at its most fluid.
* Crossover Investment Appeal: Due to the historical film context, this piece carries an intense dual-market premium. It is a targeted piece for both classic Hollywood cinema purists and vintage baseball memorabilia collectors tracking Chicago White Sox legend Monty Stratton.
