Heavy dark green wool construction with black leather reinforcement at the cuffs and pockets, green piping, London Transport Griffin collar insignia, and Griffin-pattern uniform buttons.
The SPEC 578/48 marking appears consistent with a circa 1948 / immediate postwar issue.
