Vintage 1946 Truetone D2613 Green Bakelite Tube Radio Art Deco - Parts/Repair
For sale is a beautiful vintage 1946 Truetone Model D2613 tabletop tube radio in a highly desirable hunter green Bakelite/plastic cabinet.
COSMETIC CONDITION:
The green cabinet is in great shape for its age. The lattice grille and control panel show great Art Deco styling.The three original cream control knobs are present.
TECHNICAL CONDITION / READ CAREFULLY:
This radio powers on and the internal dial lights up. The speaker emits a loud rushing static noise when the volume is turned up, but it is currently unable to tune into any radio stations. The flat cardboard back panel containing the loop antenna is completely missing, which is likely why it cannot receive signals.
Because the internal paper/wax capacitors are completely original from 1946, this radio is being sold strictly AS-IS for parts, restoration, or decorative display. Do not leave it plugged in for long periods without an electronic overhaul.
