Vintage red Lucite dresser or jewelry box dating to the mid-1940s, featuring a raised sterling-silver lovebirds medallion on the lid and a small round mirror mounted inside.
The box has a wonderful Art Deco / early Mid-Century look, with rich translucent red Lucite and a beautifully detailed silver medallion depicting two birds facing one another.
The sterling medallion is marked STERLING and is associated with a design patent registered in 1945.
Measures approximately 4 3/4” wide x 3 7/8” deep x 1 3/4” high.
Condition: Very good vintage condition overall. Lucite shows light age-related surface wear and minor scratching consistent with use. The sterling medallion has natural tarnish/patina. Mirror is intact. No major cracks or repairs observed.
