They do function well. They provide a pleasing image when you look through them. The image is clear and focused. No double image. That being said there is some specs of dirt/dust inside. Some minor haze is visible. The size and ergonomics of these binoculars is honestly much nicer than most modern binoculars. They just feel good in your hands. Are pleasing to use and produce a decent viewing image.
