This Smith Corona sterling was manufactured some time between late 1941 and early 1942, right before the company ceased production of typewriters to aid in the war effort. It comes in a beautiful black crinkle paint finish and racing stripes, which has been cleaned to glisten as it should. The typewriter has been cleaned, serviced, and provided a new ribbon to be used immediately upon arrival. The rubber feed rollers, paper bail rollers, and platen are original, and therefore relatively hard; it is advised to use a backing sheet when typing.
