Up for sale is a wonderfully preserved, original 1941 Exhibit Supply Co. arcade novelty card. This piece of penny arcade history features a fortune-telling layout titled "Your Future Partner".The card features a black-and-white photo illustration of a glamorous woman under a tree branch, surrounded by circular portraits of three children labeled as the buyer's future family tree.The novelty text block at the bottom reads:
"YOUR FUTURE WIFE will be a GLAMOUR GIRL who will be much more concerned about her looks and her stance than anything else—even including you. You will have some tough competition to win her and it will cost dough but persistency will win. She is a beauty and your pride and joy and you'll love to take her out and show her off before your friends and her public. You will shine in the reflected glow of her radiance with the three little peaches that will grow on your family tree."This heavy-stock cardboard card has a completely blank reverse side, which is historically correct for arcade cards dispensed from ESCO machines in the early 1940s.
