Time flies, but this rare Mopar piece preferred to roll—until now!
The horological wizards at The Rusty Goats Time Emporium LLC have rescued this genuine antique 10-inch "DeLuxe" dog dish hubcap from decades of quiet retirement and transformed it into a striking custom wall clock.
The Genuine History:
This isn't cheap plastic garage wall art. This is a real-deal, heavy-metal piece of Art Deco automotive history. Walter Chrysler’s legendary mid-tier brand, DeSoto, was known for style and innovation. In 1939, the DeSoto DeLuxe line featured a cutting-edge streamlined look and a robust inline-6 engine. This specific hubcap, with its classic concentric ribbed pattern and distinctive red indented "DELUXE" lettering, sat right at the center of that pre-war design revolution. It managed to survive WWII metal scrap drives, decades of road grit, and the test of time just to tell you exactly when it's time to stop wrenching and crack open a cold beverage.
The "Rusty Goats" Custom Touch:
Authentic Patina: This piece features legitimate, hard-earned weathering, minor pitting, and beautiful surface character. We call it "automotive storytelling." If you want unblemished, boring modern chrome, buy a kitchen appliance. If you want a conversational showpiece that honors 1930s American steel, this is it.
Modern Internals: We fitted it with a brand-new, battery-operated quartz clock mechanism and contrasting bright red hands so you can read the time even through a heavy cloud of shop dust or engine smoke.
Perfect For: Mopar enthusiasts, rat rod garages, workshops, man caves, or your home office.
