Original vintage 1938 German Rifle Club shooting medal issued through the Cuyahoga Civilian Marksmen’s Association.
German-American rifle clubs were common in the United States during the late 19th and early 20th century and were influenced by traditional Schützen shooting competitions.
This medal features a bar reading “German Rifle Club” suspended from a red, white, and black ribbon with an additional event bar marked:
Cuyahoga Civilian Marksmen’s Assn. 1938
