Up for sale is an incredibly rare, 100% original 1936 Indian Motorcycles 35th Anniversary Sales Brochure (Form M-430).
This is the highly collectible "Self-Mailer" variant issued directly from the legendary Indian factory in Springfield, Massachusetts. Instead of using a separate envelope, the factory printed the mailing layout directly onto the reverse outer panel of the brochure, folded it, sealed it, and sent it through the mail.
This piece features incredible historical provenance, having been mailed directly to a prospective rider in California. It retains its authentic, period-correct precanceled 1½¢ Warren G. Harding stamp with the original Springfield, MASS postmark, and features the original vintage typewriter-addressed text to Mr. James Ash. (My relative)
Models Featured & Detailed Inside:
When fully unfolded, the large-format linen paper features stunning graphics, detailed descriptions, and full mechanical specifications for Indian's iconic 1936 lineup:
* Indian Four ("4")
* Indian Chief 74
* Indian Sport Scout 45
* Indian Standard Scout 45
* Indian Scout Pony "30.50"

Condition Report:
This brochure is in Very Good (VG) vintage condition and has been beautifully preserved for 90 years.
* The Colors: The iconic Indian red and deep black cover inks remain remarkably bright, bold, and vivid with excellent shelf appearance.
* The Paper: The heavy, linen-textured paper stock remains clean and crisp with perfectly legible text.
* The Wear: This is a completely honest, unaltered survivor with no modern tape repairs. As is expected with original self-mailers of this age, there is typical handling wear along the main factory fold lines, including minor seam splitting and tiny pinholes at the fold intersections. There is a small area of paper loss on the upper edge of the mailer panel from when the original factory sticker seal was opened decades ago.
Please closely review the high-resolution photos provided (including the exact dimensions shown against the ruler) to evaluate the condition for yourself.
