Up for sale is an exceptionally rare, museum-quality piece of coin-op and vintage advertising Americana: an original, 100% unpunched 1¢ "Penny Gum" Trade Stimulator Punchboard.
Unlike the far more common cigarette or generic numbers boards of the era, this incredibly scarce variant features a vibrant chewing gum theme. It showcases beautiful, crisp graphics of iconic historic brands, including:
Wrigley's Peppermint
Black Jack
Beeman's Pepsin
Juicy Fruit
Yucatan
Condition Report:
This item is true New Old Stock (NOS) and remains completely unplayed. The front features bright, unfaded colors with only minor, natural edge and corner wear from decades of careful storage.
Turn the board over, and you will find the original factory paper back-seal completely intact, clearly stamped: "PENNY GUM - BREAK SEAL FOR YOUR PUNCH." The original manufacturer's paper filler slip is firmly attached, displaying Serial No. 6714, the "RM" filler mark, and the hand-written inspector/checker stamps (No. 291 and 245). The color of the internal paper is designated as "White" for the 200-hole sizing.
Collector's Note:
Finding a punchboard with the factory paper seal fully intact is a rarity in itself—finding one with an iconic, cross-collectible confectionery and chewing gum theme is nearly impossible. This is a premier display piece perfect for advanced collections of vintage advertising, country store memorabilia, gambling history, or coin-op counter displays.
