Up for sale is an exceptional, complete 24-piece service for 12 of vintage pre-WWII Noritake fine porcelain demitasse (espresso) cups and matching saucers in the highly sought-after 1930s Sabina pattern.
This authentic 1930s design features soft mint green border panels, vibrant floral bouquets (roses, morning glories, and white blossoms), heavy raised gold paste filigree scrollwork, an inner cup filigree border, and an intricate gold geometric lattice band along the outer rim.
Condition Details
Porcelain Structure: Excellent vintage condition across all 24 pieces. Zero chips, cracks, crazing, or hairline fractures.
Gilding & Filigree: Outstanding overall preservation. The raised gold paste filigree, inner scrollwork, and outer beaded/lattice rims on the saucers and cup bodies remain crisp, bright, and intact.
Handles & Production Details: Handles retain heavy, original burnished matte gold paste coverage with light, natural vintage gilding rub along select outer handle curves typical of gentle age. Minor pre-war factory mold variations are present (such as an authentic manufacturing mold dimple beneath the original gold paste on one handle and minor overglaze transfer specks under factory finish), highlighting its hand-crafted 1930s origins.
Note: One cup handle shows a small spot of light gilding rub on its lower curve (shown clearly in close-up photo #X), while the remaining handles retain solid, heavy burnished gold coverage.
