🧶 VINTAGE SORENG-MANEGOLD ENAMEL YARN DISPENSER 🧶
A wonderfully timeworn vintage green enameled-metal yarn dispenser manufactured by the Soreng-Manegold Company of Chicago, Illinois.
Dating to approximately the 1930s–1940s, this distinctive two-piece container was designed to hold a ball of yarn while knitting or crocheting. The yarn was placed inside, threaded through the opening at the center seam and dispensed neatly without allowing the ball to roll across the floor.
Its rounded form, beautiful mint-green color and naturally aged surface give it tremendous decorative character. It would make an especially appealing display piece in a sewing room, craft studio, vintage kitchen or collection of early American household accessories.

✨ CONDITION
This vintage dispenser remains complete with both original halves present. The pieces separate properly, fit together and retain the original yarn-feed opening.
The green enameled exterior exhibits honest surface wear consistent with age and practical use, including scattered scratches, scuffs, small marks, oxidation and areas of finish loss—particularly around the connecting rims and underside. The interior displays more extensive oxidation, discoloration and enamel loss.
No obvious major dents, punctures or structural breaks were observed. The embossed Soreng-Manegold maker’s mark remains clearly legible.
No attempt has been made to repaint, refinish or disguise its naturally aged appearance. Its surface wear and patina are an important part of its vintage character and decorative appeal.
