It comes loaded with its original vintage wax-based red lead right at the tip. Please note that, like most vintage twist pencils of this era, the mechanism is a propelling style, meaning it pushes the lead forward when twisted. To retract the lead, you simply twist the mechanism backward and gently press the lead tip against a flat surface to slide it back into the nose cone.
The crown cap unscrews to reveal the original, century-old hardened rubber eraser compartment.
Approximately 5 inches
The metal casing shows a gorgeous vintage patina with minimal surface wear consistent with age.
