Tom\'s Dixie Kitchen was THE place to be in Manilla from 1916-1941.A 1933 American Express Guide described Tom\'s as “Manila’s headquarters for food and drink, known throughout the Orient”.The restaurant closed in 1941 at the start of WWII and the building was destroyed during the Japanese occupation of Manilla.
The ashtray was made by Albert Pick & Co., Chicago, the largest luxury restaurant supplier in the world at the time.
