Vintage Fragonard "Courting Couple" iridescent lusterware fine porcelain 17-piece demitasse tea set, new in original presentation box.

This set features the classic Fragonard Courting Couple (Fragonard Love Story) motif — an 18th-century Rococo-style romantic garden scene with a couple in period dress, applied as a transfer decal to each piece. Finished with a pearlescent iridescent luster glaze, deep maroon banding, gold trim, gilded scrollwork, and gold handles.

The maroon bands and gold rim lines appear to be hand-applied. There is natural variation in the banding from cup to cup — slight differences in width, line, and saturation — characteristic of hand-finished work rather than fully machine-printed decoration. The central scene is a transfer decal and is consistent across all pieces.

CONDITION:
Never used and in excellent condition. The saucers still retain their original factory plastic wrapping. No chips or cracks found on any piece. The iridescent luster, gold trim, and decals are all intact and bright. Comes in the original blue satin-lined presentation box. The box shows wear consistent with age and storage, including taped corners and minor edge separation/tears as shown in the photos. MARKINGS:
Pieces are stamped "FINE PORCELAIN" in gold on the underside. There is no maker's mark or country of origin on the pieces or box. Unattributed.
