Beautiful 11.5-inch vintage hand-blown mercury glass Christmas tree topper finial. Crafted in Poland during the mid-century boom (circa 1950s/1960s), this piece features a striking vibrant red bulb base with triple indented starburst/rosette reflectors, topped by a long, elegant silver spire accented with delicate red, gold and green stripes.
Condition Details:
Glass Finial: Beautiful vintage condition with bright, highly reflective silvering and vibrant red coloration. The hand-painted holiday trees on the sides look wonderful and retain much of their original white mica glitter.
Vintage Wear: There is normal, age-appropriate wear to the top shoulders of the bulb where the glitter on the geometric cross/asterisk accents has mostly worn away over time. The space between the main bulb and the spire has some wear to the color of the glass. The silver spire is clean with excellent shine. There are no chips, cracks, or structural damage to the delicate glass or the bottom opening.
Original Box: Includes the highly collectible original green and red atomic-era "Tree Top" graphic box featuring retro tinsel trees on the end caps. The box graphics are exceptionally vibrant for their age. Please note there is a rip on one of the end flaps (as shown in the photos).
