Up for sale is a genuine piece of U.S. military history: a 1966 stamped M1951 combination folding entrenching tool (e-tool). This shovel features both a spade and a pickaxe, which lock into multiple angles using the heavy-duty threaded collar.
Item specifics:
Era: Vietnam War (Dated 1966)
Manufacturer: L.M.C. (Stamped "U.S. L.M.C. 090 1966")
Style: M1951 Folding Entrenching Tool
Material: Steel blade/pick with a sturdy wooden handle
Color: Original Olive Drab Green
Condition:
This shovel is in solid, good vintage condition. It is fully functional and folds/locks tightly exactly as it should. Because it is a used, authentic field tool, it shows appropriate wear for its age and use. There is standard paint loss, scuffs on the wooden handle, and some surface patina/rust on the steel blade (please see all photos for exact cosmetic condition). The handle is solid with no major cracking, and the locking nut turns well.
A great addition to any militaria collection, a rugged tool for camping/off-roading, or an excellent piece for reenactors.
