Vietnam War, U.S. Army Air Medal Award & Citation, Advisory Period 1964-1965.Two Air Medal Documents, the actual Award Document and the Citation for the award of the Air Medal awarded to Major William W. Gray, United States Army, 064859 for aerial combat in The Republic of Vietnam from July 1964 to January 1965. This is related to the Advisory Period c. 1961-1965. These forces were under the control of MAC-V and the citation has a MACV gold OFFICIAL seal on it. What is extremely desirable is that the Award Document is hand signed by Commanding General William Westmoreland and Stanley R. Resor, Secretary of the Army. Complete with a cased Air Medal with slot brooch and a cut-edge MACV shoulder patch. A very nice set.
