Beautiful Victorian EAPG amber glass small server bottle, with a coinspot pattern. I believe this made by the New England Glass Co. -Purchased from the estate of a very established collector and this was part of four items labeled as such.
I believe it was used to serve honey, or possibly sugar or a table spice. It is small and has a flip lid, with a cut-out for a small spoon.
This one is special - it has a monogrammed and decorated metal lid and collar. There is an elegant scripted "M" with a detailed pattern around either side. It has a gorgeous metal handle as well. This would have been commissioned for a wealthy household.
The New England Glass Co. operated from 1818 to 1888.
Stands 3 1/4 inches.
