Today I am offering this fabulous antique Victorian vintage white opalescent platonite milk glass lidded box.
As you can see, it is not the solid pure white color of more modern milk glass. It has a luminous quality.
It is heavily embossed with scrolls and swirls. This softly curvy rounded rectangle vanity jewelry trinket box measures almost 4\" long, 2¼\" wide, and 1¾\" tall including the ornate lid.
It is a very old used item. The inner rim has a slightly rough feel but no visible chips. There\'s a very fine hairline crack on one end that I have taken close-up pictures of and circled the flaw in red in the last 2 photos. It isn\'t unsightly and is hard to see, but it is there and needs to be mentioned.
