Very Rare WW1 GE No 4441. NP 16603. Airship Compass . Capt Carl Edwards Pilot For Sale

WWI GE Air compass from my grandfather’s army plane. He told us at one time he flew with Eddy Rickenbacker. Liquid in tact. Still working as it should. This has been in my family’s possession since the end of WWI. Liquid is stable and working. Dent in the back has been there from the beginning.
This style of brass-tagged ;General Electric Company compass comes from the infancy of military aviation. For perspective, the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum holds a matching General Electric Type B Airship Compass in its permanent collection, documented as being used in the historic 1921 US Army C-2 airship bombing tests spearheaded by General Billy Mitchell.
