\"The Lucky Corner\" TheBird Cage Casino located at 100 E Fremont St,opened January 1,1958 with 7 table games and 102 slot machines. Its signature wasa 10-foot “Bird Cage” with lit red dice inside right above the casino sign. It’sbeen documented that two $25,000 Keno wins didn’t cause the temporary closure inNovember 1958 as the casino planned to remodel. In December 1958, owners requestedcity commissioners for additional Keno licenses but were denied. Unfortunately, this small casino closed on April 29,1959 and it then expanded into itsneighbor the Mint.
See Pics, this Bird Cage ashtray has a few scratches on the left side. On the right side, the cigarette holder has a small chip.
For a casino open only 16 months, and being 67 years old, it\'s in remarkable condition!
