Very Old Photos of Women Late 1800s - 1920s AUTHENTIC & ANTIQUE, lot of 14These 14 photos are great. I'll tell you what I know about each of them, starting with the smallest.
  1. The woman with a hairstyle that looks like a spaceship is the only photo that isn't mounted on cardboard. It's slightly bigger than a carte de visite. Her lighting isn't great. Nearly 3" x 4".
  2. Carte de visite of a young woman in brack with smocking on her dress has advertisting on the back for J. A. Ball ,Artist, Dalrymple Block (thats what it says) Albion Mich. It's got his logo on it, and also promises "Negatives Preserved". 2.5" x 4.25"
  3. Carte de visite with a marcelled hair young woman and a big lace bow at her neck, also by J. A. Ball, but the logo has gold in it is and is totally different. The back is pink with a bird on it and a fancy gold frame. It also includes "Dalrymple Block". 2.5" x 4.25"
  4. The young woman with dark hair and a sweet face wearing gingham; white background on a white Cabinet Card; the back reads "To Uncle Joe and Aunt Sue Merry, Merry X-Mas and a Happy New Year 1897 -- 17 years old -- It's 4 3/8" x 6 5/8"
  5. Cabinet card with young woman with hair pulled tightly back so you can't see it; black ribbons crossing her dress, and a tone of buton. Her card says Brandt Bioc Avoca, Iowa -- someone has written on the back "Happy Birthday Lynn! Lots of love, Lynn".It must've had a round sticker on it, once upon a time. 4.25" x 6.5"
  6. Older woman wearing glasses in black on a black card with white frame in an oval. Nice card, but not as big as a typical Cabinet Card. On the back it says in pencil in very old-fashioned writing: Phebe Darby. 4.25" x 6" My guess is that this card is from the 1880s or 1890s.
  7. Older woman with kind face looking to the right got a very nice embossed frame with white border around her photo. Not as big as a Cabinet Card, it says "Fred and Ella" on the back. 4.125" x 6.5"
  8. Young woman in white ruffled dress with bow in her hair on a black card with long oval matte. This photo unfortunately has a pen mark on it that looks like a hair. This is Millie Jule from 1904. I know that because it's written on the back of the next photo, which is the same girl. 4.125" x nearly 7"
  9. Same girl as above, same set up with black card and long oval. This one has the name Millie Jule 1904 written on the back in pencil. 4.125" x nearly 7"
  10. This small Cabinet Card is faded and a sweet girl on it. She has a flower or branch at her neck. Embossed below reads REESE 3115 Indiana Ave. Chicago. Back says, very faintly in pencil Nettie Weber. 4.25" x 6.5"
  11. Girl in her first communion dress, holding a book with a cross o it. She's wearing a veil with flowers on her head. Her setup is full of furniture. Below the photo it reads: "L. E. Bennett, McHenry, ILL. The back has an ad for L.E. Bennett with logo and faintly written "Rose Justin. First Communion" 4.25" x 6.5"
  12. Pleasant matriarch frm the late 1800s with white lace on her black pleated dress, mounted on a taupe card with dark brown printed frame. Card is 6" x 8"
  13. Two unsmiling women with nice hair styles, on a brown card with embossed oval frame within it. Someone (not me) wrote something in pencil on lower right. Maybe I see "Young M...K...". The card has a bend or tear on the front, You can see it in photos of the photos. Card is 6" x 8"
  14. This one has a long oval in embossed frame, but it's way up in one corner of the cardboard. I don't think they got around to cutting it. The cardboard is only in fair condition. On the back it says "Rose" and that is all. The card is 8" x 12", but the oval photo is 2.75" x 5.25".
