Up for sale is a Vernon Kilns Pottery Gingham egg cup measuring 3.5\" tall. This egg cup is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs.This past weekend I picked up two huge lots of, both, Vernon Kilns Organdie and Vernon Kilns Gingham dinnerware. Most of the pieces that I picked up look like they\'ve never been used. I kept a couple of pieces for my Vernon Kilns collection but I\'m selling the rest on . I got a really great deal on the two lots so I\'m passing the savings on to you. I also offer FREE local pickup for buyers living in the Southern California area.One last note about Vernon Kilns and their plaid pattern dinnerware lines, If you\'re a collector of Vernon Kilns you are probably aware of what I\'m about to say, but in case you\'re not and for collectors new to Vernon Kilns, this is for you. Vernon Kilns\' plaid patterns were enormously popular in the 1940\'s and 50\'s and they sold a huge amount. Because VK\'s plaid pattern dinnerware pieces were all hand decorated, and because of the number that needed to be produced on a daily basis, sometimes there were obvious variations from piece to piece. I think that avid collectors of Vernon Kilns, including myself, love that almost homemade appearance of their dinnerware lines but I still wanted to mention this for new collectors. Also, there is one other thing that you might see in the multi colored plaid patterns. Where two colors overlap sometimes the two glazes would react with each other, during firing in the kiln, and there would be tiny bubbles or glaze loss. These anomalies are completely original to production and in no way post production damage. On the couple of pieces that I\'m listing, that do have minor damage, I will clearly point that out in the listing.
