Vanity Fair Oscar academy Award Party Gift Pewter Ashtray Unknown Year of After Party - Rare -Pictured In VF. In a 2013 reference in a Vanity Fair article, ephemera and unique decor/collectibles were pictured. I added the picture but you can make reference to it on Google. Vanity Fair stated in the article that these specially made custom ashtrays were sometimes “taken home” by the very famous even though they were not gifted or meant to be taken home. This appears to be the same one. Big Caveat!! I am not a movie star that took it home from an Oscar After Party. I do not have the provenance so hopefully some of you are Oscar Night experts. The condition appears used, needs polishing (I like it as is so I didn’t shine it up). It is 3 1/2” in diameter and is 1” thick. I see circular like shapes that are faded inside the bowl of the ashtray but they don’t make any sense. No other markings. “Vanity Fair Los Angeles” around the rim consists of raised letters. This is a really cool piece.
