Vanguard U.S. Navy officer high-relief cap device in its original retail packaging. The design centers the shield beneath a dimensional eagle, with crossed fouled anchors providing the broad lower structure. Silver- and gold-tone elements are deliberately separated so the insignia remains readable at a distance, while the raised relief gives the eagle, shield, rope, and anchors substantially more depth than a flat stamped device.
This is military insignia design executed properly: strict symmetry, strong hierarchy, crisp relief, and no wasted decoration. Every element has a job, and the two-tone finish keeps a complicated emblem controlled rather than busy. Substantial, precise, and authoritative.
