Manufacturer History & Rarity:Founded in 1984 by Judi and Gary Vaillancourt in Sutton, Massachusetts, Vaillancourt Folk Art is world-renowned for crafting high-end, hand-painted chalkware collectibles using historic antique chocolate molds imported from Europe. Located at the historic Manchaug Mill in Sutton, MA, the company produces limited production runs of seasonal figures, each hand-painted by skilled studio artists and individually numbered on the underside base.

Because each piece is cast using vintage molds and painted entirely by hand, individual pieces display subtle variations that make them unique. Small-scale holiday figures such as this 2010 piece (#67 in its run) are highly sought after by collectors of traditional American holiday folk art and Christmas displays.
