Beautiful limited-edition Vaillancourt Folk Art chalkware figurine — the 1999 Starlight Father Christmas (10th in the annual Starlight series, VFA Nr. 9930). Brand new in box
This special piece was designed by Judi Vaillancourt and created exclusively to benefit the Starlight Foundation, which helps critically, chronically, and terminally ill children by granting wishes and providing “Fun Centers” (mobile entertainment units with TV, VCR, and Nintendo) for pediatric intensive care units. The 1999 edition marked Vaillancourt’s 100th wish and the purchase of its 8th Fun Center.
The figure features a charming Father Christmas in a deep blue coat covered in yellow stars, carrying a bright yellow sack overflowing with gifts and topped with a teddy bear. It is hand-cast, hand-painted, antiqued, signed, dated, and numbered on the base (“Vaillancourt Folk Art Sutton, Mass #1458 1999” and “9930 STAR 10 © 1999 all rights reserved”).
