“USA-Customs duties included (DDP)”Item Title VTG WW2 German Puma-Werk Solingen Folding Pocket Knife Wood Handle Rare Item DescriptionThis is a used single-blade pocket knife made in Solingen, Germany, by the famous manufacturer PUMA-Werk (Lauterjung & Sohn). The blade is clearly marked: “PUMA-WERK, PUMA MESSER SOLINGEN”. It features the early text-only stamp without the puma head logo.Authentic brown wood handle scales, steel/iron liners and rivets. The wooden handle features authentic wartime hand-carved initials and the number "42" (strictly indicating the year 1942). This adds incredible historical value and provable WW2 provenance to the knife. There are no serial numbers stamped on the knife, which strictly dates this piece to the pre-1964 era (highly likely WW2 / immediate post-war production period).Condition: The knife is in overall good preserved, authentic vintage condition considering its age. The blade is tight with strong snap, no blade play or looseness. The blade has been sharpened in the past and shows age-appropriate patina and wear, but retains its solid mechanical functionality.
A rare and collectible piece, ideal addition to any knife collection.
