This is not the small 25\" version you see everywhere. This is the impressive, full-size 33.5 inch tall vintage nautical lamp, artist-signed and dated.
A true statement piece for any coastal home, beach house, lake cottage, man cave, or nautical office.
THE STORY:This classic Old Salt / Sea Captain stands on the dock next to his barrel, holding his coiled rope in his signature yellow sou\'wester and raincoat, black sea boots with red soles. His grey beard and warm, weathered face are beautifully hand-painted. The base is detailed like a wooden pier with rope trim. This lamp brings instant warmth and nostalgia - the kind of piece that starts conversations.
PROVENANCE - SIGNED ON BASE (See Photo #2):Hand-incised on the bottom: \"Cindy Dayton 1977\"This is an original vintage studio ceramic piece from 1977, hand-poured and hand-painted in a ceramics studio - not a modern factory reproduction. This was the golden era of these large figural lamps.

CONDITION:Excellent vintage condition for being 46 years old. Please look at all the photos.
Ceramic: No chips, cracks, or restoration. The paint is bright and rich, with barely noticeable age-related cracks.Lampshade: Original and unbroken. It has light signs of wear and a few tiny snags typical of burlap of the era (see close-up), but holds its shape well and diffuses light beautifully. No major breaks. There are some small age-related peelings on the inside of the plastic lining (see photos).
