Vintage Mid-Century Napco "Sleeping Babies" Figural Teapot with Lid
Serial Number: JX4088 (Stamped on base with partial original silver foil Napco label)
Circa: 1950s / 1960s
Origin: Made in Japan
Up for sale is an incredibly rare and hard-to-find vintage ceramic teapot from Napco (National Potteries Co.). While Napco's sleeping pajama baby line features many common planters and candle holders, this complete figural teapot is highly elusive and a holy grail piece for 1950s kitsch collectors!
The design features three adorable sleeping children or "pixie angels" draped over the top and handle, dressed in nightcaps and pastel polka-dot pajamas. The teapot features a beautiful atomic-style curved silhouette, delicate gold trim detailing, and subtle gray scroll accents.
