VTG Mexican Tonala Pottery Bird Figurine Hand Painted Folk Art Mex 4”
Charming vintage Mexican folk art pottery bird, hand formed and hand painted in earthy tan, black, cream and terracotta tones. Features a stylized bird motif painted on the body and traditional decorative feather detailing.
Marked “MEX” on the underside. The form, burnished finish and decoration are consistent with Tonalá/Jalisco-style Mexican folk pottery. Similar vintage Tonalá birds were handmade and individually decorated, so variations are expected.
Measures approximately 4\" long × 2\" wide × 2.5\" high.
There is light wear/paint loss on the side of the head and other minor surface wear consistent with age. Please see all photos for exact condition.
