Fantastic MCM, highly collectible bar cocktail set designed by the famous Swedish designer Åke Elmér, hand-blown by Björkshults Glasbruk. Made in Sweden in the 1950s, the stylish set includes a tall glass pitcher, 6 matching cordial glasses, and a wooden stirrer stick. The pitcher and cordial glasses are made of hand-blown art glass in a light smoky hue and have attractive, cut-out brass metal sleeves/surrounds. The pitcher has a warm, solid-wood teak handle with a cut-out to hold the stirrer. A matching teak stirrer stick completes the set.
The pitcher and glasses are in absolutely fantastic condition! No chips, cracks, or flaws that I can see in the glasses. The pitcher has an imperceptible irregularity in the glass at the top. Looks like a manufacturing flaw.? The stirrer stick has had a moment. The stirrer stick has 2 scorch marks on the underside and the tip has some wood loss. The teak wood is otherwise in good condition.
