I’m selling my vintage infant of Prague statues, as well as several of the garments, and this is a gorgeous vintage bejeweled crown and beaded vestment!
Please note, this gown measures 13 inches long from the neck line to the hem line and I believe that this would fit a 13 or 14 inch statue, but I’m not positive so make sure that these measurements will fit your infant of Prague statue please.
The outer vestment is an eggshell coloured satin that has been hand embellished with tiny glass and gold beads. There is a gorgeous Sacred Heart in the very front of the vestment, just stunning, and so well-made. This gown from the neck to the hem measures 13 inches long. There is another piece which I’m assuming is the undergarment for the gown that is in the matching satin color and that measures 12 inches long. Of course, the crowning beauty of this thing in addition to that outer gown is the crown…
You may notice in the photos there appears to be a red colored stain just below the letter E in the embroidered Jesus, please note that’s not a stain. It’s actually a strand of the red thread that was hand sewn around the gold beads that say Jesus, I’m not sure how to snip that because the back of the garment is lined - I only noticed it because I was taking pictures for this listing, other than that it’s just not noticeable, check the photos, but that is not a stain
This crown has a pointed center pin that is inserted on top of the head to hold it in place. It is a gold vermeil filigree with absolutely no tarnish or no loss of coloring. It is bejeweled with multi color crystals, and although a few of the images may show no crystal it’s only because it’s a very pale lavender color or amber color. The center of the crown has the cross on one side with a ruby red crystal in the center of the cross, and the other side is merely a gold cross.
You can see in the photos that this crown measures approximately 2 inches tall 2 inches wide at its widest and the diameter of the actual base of the crown that fits on the head is a bit over 1” I diameter.
