RARE VINTAGE 1979 STAR WARS NEWSPAPER PROMO PAGE - 16.5\" x 13.5\"
Artist: Tom Soule (Features his printed signature below C-3PO\'s foot)
Origin: The Dallas Times Herald — March 11, 1979
Up for sale is an incredibly rare piece of Star Wars comic history. This full-page promotional artwork was published exactly one day before the official nationwide launch of the daily Star Wars newspaper comic strip (March 12, 1979).
This is a regional Texas variant featuring the custom Dallas Times Herald front-page masthead inside C-3PO\'s newspaper.
Provenance & History: I personally cut this page directly out of the Sunday edition of the Dallas Times Herald on March 11, 1979. It has been kept safely in a smoke-free home ever since.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition for 45+ year-old newsprint. Colors remain strong. There is a small, minor 1/2\" rip along the bottom center edge, which is very common for newsprint of this era and can easily be hidden behind a frame mat. No major staining or severe wrinkling. Please see photos for exact condition details.
Shipping: It has been stored rolled up for years so it will be shipped rolled up to prevent further damage during shipment.
Keywords: Sci-Fi, Science Fiction, Fantasy, George Lucas, 1970s Ephemera, R2D2, R2-D2, Movie Poster
