Up for sale is a vintage illuminated “PRESCRIPTIONS” hanging sign made by Neon Products, Lima, Ohio. The sign measures approximately 24 inches wide and features a very attractive reverse-painted glass face with bold illuminated lettering.
The glass is in excellent overall condition, especially considering the age, with strong color and a great display appearance when lit. The sign has a classic pharmacy / drug store look and would make an outstanding piece for a vintage advertising collection, pharmacy display, apothecary décor, medical office, bar, restaurant, or period interior.
The sign is working, as shown in the photos/video. The power cord has been replaced at some point over the years, and the hanging chains are also newer replacements.
Please note that the plastic portion of the starter socket has a broken piece. The starter still fits in the socket and the sign does work, but the starter may require some light manual adjustment at times when turning the sign on. Once started, it operates normally.
The metal housing shows age-related wear, including some paint loss and surface wear along the bottom edge. Please review the photos closely for the exact illuminated PRESCRIPTIONS sign
