Wonderful original 1950s Friendship House restaurant and Mississippi Gulf Coast travel ephemera, preserved as an unusual stapled-together group just as it was found.
The Friendship House was located on Highway 90 midway between Biloxi and Gulfport, Mississippi, and was known for its colorful illustrated menus, seafood and Gulf Coast tourism advertising.
This fantastic piece includes colorful Friendship House restaurant menu pages, period food prices, seafood illustrations, tourist information and a large illustrated Mississippi Gulf Coast pictorial map. One menu section is marked 6-57, dating this group to the late 1950s.
The pieces were found stapled together and I have intentionally left them that way rather than separating or altering the original grouping. A fantastic survivor for a collector of vintage restaurant menus, Mississippi memorabilia, Gulf Coast history, roadside Americana, travel ephemera or mid-century advertising.
Original vintage ephemera — not a modern reproduction.
Vintage condition with age toning, folds/creases, edge and corner wear, small tears and other expected signs of age and handling. Staples remain in place. Please review all photos closely as they are an important part of the condition description.
A particularly fun display piece with incredible mid-century graphics and color. Thx for looking! Shipper- file 1
