ANTIQUE 1923 SHAW MISSISSIPPI PLANTERS BANK OF SHAW CANCELLED CHECK LOT 3 COTTON BOLL EAGLEThe three checks were found held together with a rusty paper clip (see last photo.) They show wear commensurate with age as well as storage wear with creases, tears, holes, etc. Please see all photos as they help in the description and ask if in doubt.Passed down in the family, the signer of all three, Mary Ratliff from Shaw, Miss.died unexpectedly in Feb. 1924 so the family kept them.The top check says BANK OF SHAW with Planters handwritten in front of it. It is marked SAVINGS and dated June 23, 1923.The middle check says BANK OF SHAW and is marked through with Planters Bank handwritten above it. It is dated 11/24/1923. The check has pictured a cotton boll to the left.The bottom check says PLANTERS BANK and is dated 9/17/1923.
