For sale is very rare and attractive vintage Soviet Porcelain figurine titled "Girl on Skates/Figure Skater", made fromLFZ - LOMONOSOVPorcelain Factory. The model was created in the 1950s by the prominent Soviet porcelain sculptor C.Velikhovaand painter E. Lupanova. Produced throughout the late 1950s and 1960s. Measure of figurine is app. 20 sm.The piece belong to the popular Soviet genre of "Physical Culture and Sports" which celebrated health, youth and active lifestyles. Stylistically, it captures the optimistic, clean aesthetic of post-Stalin Thaw era. The girl wears traditional mid-century winter attire: red headscarf, red mittens, white flared tunic sweater, use-blue trousers and brown ice skates.The "Girl on skates" figurine marked LFZ in the center on the underside and "40" indicate the painter's mark.
